1.         What is a franchise?

A franchise is a special privilege and an authorization to sell a company’s goods or services.

2.         Does the party to the franchise need to own some retail stores or distribution network?

The traditional franchise system requires such outlay, but many MLM franchise system entice individuals to part with large amount of money for  goods worth much more than its market value promising that they need only to sell to a minimal of 3 to 6 downstream buyers and money will just flow in without any additional efforts. Such selling techniques are based on pushing methodology that exert undue pressure on the buyers with persistent harassment that the buyers usually succumb to the pressure to get away from the harassment. The MLM franchise system is similar to the pyramid selling where the down stream buyers usually suffer at the end.
